Prosafe takes delivery of the Safe Zephyrus and Safe Notos

The Safe Zephyrus was delivered from Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd and subsequently commenced its maiden contract supporting Aker BP (Det Norske) during the completion and start-up phase of the Ivar Aasen development offshore Norway.

The Safe Notos was delivered from COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore Co. Ltd following a three-year and 222-day contract award from Petrobras for the provision of a safety and maintenance support vessel offshore Brazil.

Prosafe takes delivery of the Safe Boreas

Prosafe takes delivery of the new build vessel Safe Boreas from Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd, and the vessel successfully completes its first contract at the Edvard Grieg field.

Prosafe orders two semi-submersible accommodation vessels

Prosafe orders two semi-submersible accommodation vessels from COSCO (Qidong) Offshore Co. Ltd. The vessels will be the most advanced and flexible units for worldwide operations excluding Norway.

The vessels will be of GustoMSC’s Ocean 500 design and will be equipped with 500 beds, DP3 station keeping systems, 10-point chain mooring and 300 tonne cranes.

The vessels will be named Safe Notos and Safe Eurus, joining Prosafe’s other newbuilds Safe Boreas and Safe Zephyrus, all named after the gods of wind in Greek mythology.

Prosafe orders the Safe Boreas

Prosafe orders a harsh environment semi-submersible accommodation vessel, the Safe Boreas, from Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd. The vessel will have the capacity to accommodate 450 persons in single man cabins.

The Safe Boreas will be the most advanced and efficient harsh environment accommodation rig in the world and will be constructed to comply with Norwegian regulations.  The vessel will be constructed according to the GVA 3000E design and will be equipped with a DP3 (dynamic positioning) system as well as 12 point mooring arrangement.

Prosafe spins off the Floating Production division

Prosafe spins off the Floating Production division and becomes a focused accommodation service company by establishing a subsidiary, Prosafe Production Limited, and by distributing 90.1 per cent of the shares in Prosafe Production Public Limited to the shareholders of Prosafe SE. The independent company Prosafe Production Limited is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange on 2 June.
